Schramm Presents at the 2025 National Alliance for Care at Home Annual Meeting & Exposition

At the 2025 National Alliance for Care at Home Annual Meeting & Exposition, Sue Lyn Schramm (Partner at Confidis) and Ben Marcantonio (President of The Denver Hospice) presented to an audience of more than 100 hospice, home health and palliative care executives. The topic: How an organization can grow its own internal pipeline of managers and leaders.

Organizations frequently need to promote from within, yet do so without ensuring that new leaders are taught the skills and techniques they need to be successful. Middle managers are critical to organizational culture, yet even skilled clinicians promoted from the field often struggle in their new roles. New executives may have their own skills gaps, and failure at this level can have severe consequences for the whole organization. This session discussed the key knowledge gaps for new leaders and how to ensure that organizational culture, accountability, and employee retention are supported along with your new leaders.
