Sue Lyn Schramm is Partner at Confidis Consulting. Ms. Schramm has worked as both a provider executive and consultant in the field of hospice and palliative management for more than 30 years, and has advised dozens of provider organizations and health systems throughout the U.S. She has deep expertise in strategic planning, provider affiliations, mergers and acquisitions, hospice payment policy and reimbursement, and palliative service startup and planning.
From 2014 to 2017, Ms. Schramm was the managing Director of NHPCO Edge, the consulting services division of The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in Alexandria, Virginia. She is a frequent public speaker and has authored multiple books and articles on healthcare topics. Her book Global Capitation: Strategies and Techniques for Assuming Full Risk was published by McGraw-Hill and the Healthcare Financial Management Association in 1999.
Confidis Consulting was co-founded by Ms. Schramm in 2024 to offer services for providers and investors in the hospice and palliative sectors. Core services include strategic planning, market analysis, facility planning, palliative service management and Medicare compliance audits. For investors in hospice, the firm provides expert operational analysis and support for acquisition due diligence, relying upon its associates’ decades of knowledge of post-acute operations, finances, reimbursement and regulation.
